Five different engines have worn the Coolray badge since 2019 and the horsepower figure cannot tell them apart. The torque figure can: 152, 205, 235, 255 and 290 N·m each belong to exactly one engine.
The Coolray works in West Africa with two conditions attached: Geely declares RON 92 minimum on every version while the region’s standard grade is RON 91, and in Ghana the car is already assembled locally.
The Jetour T2 is a mid-size 4×4; the Dashing a front-wheel-drive compact SUV. A spec-by-spec export comparison and which one fits your market.
Short answer: the Geely Coolray can be imported into Peru, Bolivia and Chile, but almost never as a used car. Chile prohibits used vehicle imports outright under Article 21 of Law 18.483, with an exception that only works inside the Iquique and Punta Arenas free zones. A decree signed on 24 October 2025 by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye and Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko raised the age limit for imported used passenger cars from eight years to ten, and for trucks and public transport vehicles from ten to fifteen. The clock runs from first registration in the country of origin, not … Read more
Short answer: from 1 October 2026, Ghana enforces standard GS 4510 on used vehicle imports through a Pre-Export Verification of Conformity programme. The critical word is pre-export: the vehicle has to be verified in China, before it is loaded, not on arrival at Tema. Vehicles that have been submerged, flood-damaged, burnt, or that carry structural … Read more
Short answer: you can buy a Lynk & Co 900 in Dubai’s re-export market, but it is a Chinese-built car, and sourcing it in Dubai means paying for a leg it already travelled. At source in China the 900 runs CNY 299,800 to 416,900 across six trims. The UAE itself only registers vehicles that are … Read more
Short answer: the five-seat Zeekr 9X costs exactly CNY 14,000 less than the six-seat car at every matching trim, and gives back 580 to 612 litres of luggage space behind the rear seats. Nothing else changes. Same 5,239 mm body, same 3,169 mm wheelbase, same engine, same motors, same batteries, same CLTC range, same declared … Read more
Two cars can wear the same name and be 31,000 yuan and a whole engine apart. A dealer who quotes “Coolray” from a brochure in Lagos or Lima, and a Chinese listing that says 缤越 at RMB 66,800, are often not discussing the same vehicle at all — different displacement, different gearbox, different body length. … Read more
