The Geely Galaxy Battleship 700 (called Zhanjian 700 in China) is a 5,085 mm plug-in hybrid off-road SUV on a unibody structure with integrated frame rails (Geely’s GTA architecture), launched in China on 10 October 2026. It pairs a 47.14 kWh CATL LFP battery with a 1.5T or 2.0T engine and up to three electric motors, and the top version is rated at 830 kW. As of late October 2026, media report the UK as Geely’s first export market and Australia for the second half of 2027 (each from a single report); no right-hand-drive or Middle East/Africa dates have been published in the sources we found.

What is the Geely Galaxy Battleship 700?
The Geely Galaxy Battleship 700 is a mid-to-large plug-in hybrid SUV built on Geely’s GTA new-energy off-road architecture. It was launched in China on 10 October 2026, and CarNewsChina reported more than 10,000 firm orders within 12 minutes of the launch. Geely said it took 43,900 pre-sale orders in the first hour of pre-sales, as relayed by Spanish outlet Híbridos y Eléctricos on 1 October 2026.
The name matters for importers. Chinese reports cited by Auto Trader NZ in March 2026 suggest export markets may use the name Galaxy Cruiser 700, so search your buyers’ market under both names. For a wider guide to naming differences see Chinese model names vs export names.
What powertrains does the Battleship 700 offer?
The Battleship 700 uses Geely’s Thor EM-T hybrid system with three configurations reported at launch. CarNewsChina lists them as below; the top and single-motor outputs match the figures in the English-language Wikipedia entry.
| Powertrain | System power | Torque | 0–100 km/h |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.5T + single front motor | 350 kW (469 hp) | 605 Nm | 6.4 s |
| 1.5T + three motors, AWD | see note | 1,165 Nm | 4.2 s |
| 2.0T + three motors, AWD | 830 kW (about 1,113 hp) | 1,330 Nm | 3.95 s |
Note: the three-motor 1.5T output is reported as 690 kW by CarNewsChina and 570 kW by Wikipedia, so we do not quote a figure. The 830 kW top output converts to roughly 1,113 hp; some Chinese outlets print 1,128 or 1,129 hp because of different conversion or rounding, so quote kW to your buyers.
How big is the Battleship 700 and what off-road hardware does it have?
The Battleship 700 is 5,085 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and has a 2,900 mm wheelbase, with height listed between 1,895 mm and 1,925 mm depending on configuration. CarNewsChina gives 1,912 mm for its tested version, so ask for the exact height of the version you order.
Reported off-road figures:
- Minimum ground clearance: 233 mm
- Approach / departure angle: 30° / 31°
- Maximum wading depth: 800 mm, plus a floating mode up to 7 km/h for up to 40 minutes (CarNewsChina)
- Adjustable-height air suspension with variable damping
- Rear differential lock (reported by CarsGuide for the Australian version)
It seats five. The roof carries a 192-line LiDAR, and the cabin has a five-screen layout, according to CarNewsChina.
What is the real-world range of the Battleship 700?
The Battleship 700 has a 47.14 kWh CATL LFP battery on all versions. The headline figures are 305 km CLTC pure-electric range and over 1,770 km combined range for the 1.5T version, which CarNewsChina and Wikipedia both report. CarNewsChina also gives 247 km and 1,434 km on the WLTP basis.
These are CLTC numbers, which are more generous than WLTP. Wikipedia lists lower electric ranges for the three-motor versions (280 km and 270 km CLTC), but we found that only in one source, so treat it as unconfirmed. CarsGuide quotes an electric range of up to 170 km for the Australian version, which is probably a different test standard; Geely has not said so. For your buyers, use the WLTP figure where a market uses WLTP, and do not sell the 1,770 km combined figure as a real driving range.
Fast charging is reported at 10% to 80% in about 10 minutes. Check charger standard (GB/T versus CCS2) for the destination, as covered in our dealer import guide.
Which markets has Geely confirmed for the Battleship 700?
Two export timings are reported, each from a single source: the UK as the first export market (an Auto Express report from January 2026, as summarised by Wikipedia) and Australia in the second half of 2027 (CarsGuide, which attributes it to Geely). No source we found confirms right-hand drive, Middle East, Africa or Central Asia supply.
That gap matters. A new model usually reaches overseas dealers through the brand’s official channels first, and parallel exporters can only buy what is released for sale. If a customer asks you for Battleship 700 stock in 2026, the honest answer today is that availability outside China is unconfirmed. Review how supply chains work in who actually sells you a Chinese car before accepting a deposit on a model you cannot yet source.
How does the Battleship 700 compare with other models we cover?
The Battleship 700 competes in a class that is new for Geely. CarNewsChina positions it against other Chinese plug-in hybrid off-roaders, and Auto Trader NZ says Geely is aiming at established premium and full-size off-road SUVs. For something comparable on our site, read Jetour T2 vs Dashing and Jetour T2 1.5T vs 2.0T for the boxy off-road class, and Zeekr 9X vs Lynk & Co 900 for the large premium plug-in class.
Geely’s mainstream export lineup is already in markets such as West Africa: see Geely Coolray in West Africa for how Geely models are positioned there.
What should importers check before ordering one?
Importers should check six things before quoting any Battleship 700 to a buyer:
- Availability for your market. Ask the supplier for written confirmation that the version is released for export and from which date.
- Which version. Single-motor, three-motor 1.5T and three-motor 2.0T have different power, torque and range; the badge alone does not tell you.
- Steering side and homologation. Left-hand drive is the default in China; right-hand drive is unconfirmed.
- Plug-in hybrid rules. Some countries tax or restrict PHEVs differently from pure EVs and petrol cars. Verify with your customs broker.
- Fuel quality. Check the engine’s fuel requirements against local fuel.
- Condition and documents for any stock vehicle. Use the vehicle inspection condition report and the import traps checklist.
